Tweak Your Cardio Workout to Help Promote Weight Loss

Making small changes to your cardiovascular workouts can help you meet your weight-loss goals. Some examples:

  • If you’re working out 3 or 4 days a week, add an extra day.
  • Try a different kind of workout. If you usually run, add a day of cycling to the mix. If you take a group exercise class, try a different class once a week.
  • Do interval training one or two days a week. With interval training, you increase exercise intensity in short spurts throughout your workout. For example, if you usually jog, try sprinting for 1 minute every five minutes or so.
