This is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis, which is another name for having inadequate or insufficent or thin eyelashes.
How does it work?
Latisse is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: First, it increases the duration of the anagen phase and second, it increased the number of hairs which grow. Exactly how it works is unknown.
How soon will I see results?
The onset effect of the solution is gradual. In the clinical trial, the mojority of users saw a significant improvement after 2 months of use.
How is it different?
This is the only solution that has been approved by the FDA as a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis and used to grow eyelashes. It has been studied in a clinical trial to demonstrate its safety and effectiveness.
